Valentino Couture Bag

I have found a Valentino bag to lust for! Earlier this year Valentino celebrated 45 years in the fashion industry with a two day gala that included friends, fellow designers, and celebrities converging in Rome to be a part of the two day bash . Of course the festivities included a red carpet, and on the red carpet a few ladies were carrying the Couture bag. Charlotte Casiraghi carried it in white, while Jennifer Hudson sported it in silver. I love the feminine dome shape, braided shoulder straps, interwoven leather detail, and the minimal hardware. The Couture bag is available for pre-order in beige or black right now at Saks.com for $1950. The bags dimensions are shown as 26Wx16Hx9D. This size borders on luggage! Either the dimensions are wrong or there will be a little sister to be released. Keep posted, I will update you when I find the answer to the puzzling dimensions.

Valentino Studded Maison Satchel

Valentino's bag designs can be hit or miss for me. I can usually find at least one to two styles to entice me each season though. The original releases of the Maison bag were huge hits! Gorgeous bags with beautiful pebbled leather, fresh architecture, and classy colors. This latest incarnation of the Maison falls short. I love it in black, but the studs take it from subtle and elegant to overdone and tacky. The studs were just not neccessary on such a beautifully designed bag. For $2495 the bag should be exceptional and this version missed the mark! Available at Saks.com.
